The Leaves Are Falling
The leaves are changing to their fall colors here in Colorado, the scenery is beautiful! And the leaves are changing colors in my life as well. To quote one of my favorite songs by Ray Price, “I Won’t Mention it Again,” he says “I feel my life has reached an early sign of autumn, in my heart the leaves are falling, love is cold. And everything that once was warm and new is gone now, leaving nothing but this hunger in my soul.” That is a current reflection of many things that are going on in my life right now.
It’s a beautiful song that I have liked since I was a teenager; it’s funny how I find relevance in it now so many years later, especially since I am not even in a relationship with a woman. It’s just kind of a haunting song that can be interpreted in many ways I suppose. Yes, it’s a love song, but it can apply to many things lost in life, and for most people losing something significant in life can be pretty traumatic. For me, after all those many years of listening to this song, it is comforting somehow today. You can listen to this song by clicking here.
That’s it for today.
